Collection and processing of personal data

Automated data transmission and data logging

The provider (or his web space provider) collects data on the basis of his legitimate interest (see art. 6 par. 1 lit. f. GDPR) each time you access the service and stores these data as “server log files” on the website server. Access data includes:

Name of the accessed website, file, date and time of access, amount of data transferred, notification of successful access, browser type and version, the user’s operating system, referrer URL (the previously visited page), IP address and the requesting provider.

The provider uses the protocol data only for statistical evaluations for the purpose of operation, security and optimisation of service. However, the provider reserves the right to check the log data subsequently if there is a justified suspicion of illegal use based on concrete indications.

The server log files are stored and deleted when the purpose of use no longer applies.

Social plugins or follow buttons are used on this Website.

Contacting

In addition to automated data transmission and data logging, it is generally not necessary to provide personal data in order to use the service. Further personal data, such as company affiliation, first name, last name, email address and telephone number, will be collected or processed only if you provide this information voluntarily, e.g., as part of an inquiry. When contacting the provider (e.g., via contact form or email), your details will be stored for the purpose of processing the enquiry and in the event that follow-up questions arise. When sending confidential data or information, the provider recommends that you use the postal service, as complete data security for emails cannot be guaranteed. If you supply the provider with personal data of your own accord, the provider will process these data only within the scope of the use you have requested. Your data will be passed on by us only if the provider is obliged by legal, official or judicial order.

Security

The provider will keep your data secure and take all precautions to protect your data from loss, misuse or alterations.

The contractual partners of the provider who have access to your data within the scope of maintenance work are contractually obliged to keep it confidential and use it only within the scope of the purpose defined by the provider.

Objections, amendments, corrections and updates

Users of this website may exercise their right to object and object to the processing of their personal data at any time.

Upon written request, you have the right to receive information free of charge by letter about personal data that has been stored about you. Furthermore, you have the right to correction of incorrect data, blocking and deletion of your personal data, insofar as there are no legal requirements to the contrary.

If applicable, you may also assert your right to data portability. If you believe that your data has been processed unlawfully, you can lodge a complaint with the competent supervisory authority.

After expiry of the intended use or statutory retention periods, the personal data will be deleted by the provider.

If you wish to have your stored personal data corrected, blocked or deleted, or if you have any questions regarding the collection, processing or use of your personal data, or if you wish to withdraw your consent, please contact our data protection officer.

Cookies

This website uses session cookies that are transferred from our server to the user’s browser. Cookies are small files that are stored on your end device. Your browser accesses these files. The use of cookies increases the user-friendliness and security of this website. The information generated by the cookie about your use of this Internet service is stored on the server of the provider in the Federal Republic of Germany.

If you do not want cookies to be stored on your terminal device to measure the range, you should adjust your browser settings in a way that the cookies are deactivated.

Google Adwords

As an AdWords customer, we also use Google Conversion Tracking on our website. This is an analysis service run by Google Inc. (1600 Amphitheatre Parkway, Mountain View, CA 94043, USA; ‘Google’). As part of this service, Google Adwords stores a cookie your computer (‘Conversion Cookie’), if you access our website via a Google ad. These types of cookies become invalid after 30 days and are not used to identify you personally. If you visit certain pages of our website before the cookie has expired, the cookie enables us and Google to recognise that someone has clicked on the ad and thus been directed to our website. As ever AdWords customer receives a different cookie, it is not possible to track the cookie through the websites of other AdWords customers. The purpose of using the conversion cookie is so that the information it collects can be used to compile conversion statistics for AdWords customers. As an AdWords customer, we only find out the total number of users who clicked on our ad and were directed to a page featuring a conversion-tracking tag. We do not, however, receive any information enabling users to be personally identified. The legal basis for processing is the declaration of consent submitted by you as part of our cookie banner upon accessing this website (Art. 6 Para. 1 a, 7 GDPR). You can revoke your consent at any time, effective for the future. To do this, configure your browser settings as you wish, and, for example, refuse to accept third-party cookies or all cookies. You can also disable cookies for conversion tracking by setting your browser so that cookies from the domain ‘googleadservices.com’ are blocked. Please note that the browser settings configured will only ever apply to the respective browser used.

Google Analytics

This website uses the functions of the Google Analytics web-analysis service. It is provided by Google Ireland Limited (‘Google’), Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland.

Google Analytics enables website operators to analyse the behaviour of their website visitors. In doing so, it sends the website operators various usage data, e.g. page hits, duration of visit, operating systems used and user’s origin. Google may pool this data in a profile assigned to the respective user or their end device.

Google Analytics uses technologies that enable the user to be recognised, so that their usage behaviour can be analysed (e.g. cookies or device fingerprinting). The information recorded by Google in relation to the usage of this website is generally sent to a Google server in the USA, where it is stored. This analysis tool is used based on Art. 6 Para. 1 f GDPR. The website operator has a legitimate interest in analysing user behaviour in order to optimise its website and advertising. Insofar as relevant consent has been requested (e.g. consent to store cookies), data is processed solely based on Art. 6 Para. 1 a GDPR; the consent may be revoked at any time.

IP anonymising

We have enabled IP anonymising on this website, meaning Google will shorten your IP address within the European Union or in other member states of the European Economic Area before sending it to the USA. Only in exceptionally cases will the full IP address be sent to a Google server in the USA and then be shortened. Google will use this information on behalf of this website’s operator in order to analyse your usage of the website, to compile reports on website activities and to render further services associated with website usage and Internet usage for the website operator. The IP address sent by your browser as part of Google Analytics is not combined with any other Google data.

Browser plugin

You can prevent Google from recording and processing your data by downloading and installing the browser plugin available at the following link: https://tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout?hl=de. For more information on how Google Analytics handles user data, see Google’s privacy statement: https://support.google.com/analytics/answer/6004245?hl=de.

Order processing

We have signed a contract with Google regarding order processing, and fully adhere to the strict regulations of the German data-protection authorities when using Google Analytics.

Google Analytics Demographics

This website uses the ‘Demographics’ function run by Google Analytics in order to display suitable advertisements to website users within the Google advertising network. This enables reports to be compiled, including information on the site visitors’ age, sex and interests. This data comes from interest-based advertising by Google and from visitor data from third-party providers. It cannot be attributed to a specific person. You may disable this function at any time via the advertising settings in your Google account, or generally prohibit Google Analytics from recording your data as details under ‘Objecting to data recording.

Storage duration

User and event data stored by Google, and which is associated with cookies, user IDs or advertising IDs (e.g. DoubleClick cookies, Android Advertising ID) is anonymised/deleted after fourteen months. Details of this can be found at the following link: https://support.google.com/analytics/answer/7667196?hl=de
